Kampot retains a charm from Cambodia’s French colonial years and this tour is ideal for those who want to explore the outdoors, take fresh in the fresh air, and view the lush landscape of rural Kampot This activity offers the opportunity to see life from a local perspective and to discover how the traditional trades are sustaining the local community.  Jump on a bike with your Cambodian student guides, many of whom have lived in Kampot their whole lives, as they show a side of Kampot that remains untouched by mass tourism.

What to Expect

Our tour will take you to off-the-beaten track locations including visits to a Rice wine. On the first stop, visitors will visit a rice wine, an authentic rice wine distillation family is a new start-up home industry in the small village. You will get a chance to learn how the rice wine is made and enjoy the tasting that just simply amazing. Next, Buddhist Temple (Wat): We will head to a pagoda frequented by the local community. Here, your guide will tell you more about religion in Cambodia, as well as the cultural practices connected to it. Then, we cycle along the paddy fields. Be amazed by this spectacular scenery, and be sure to photograph it! You will also see paddy farmers at work, many of whom still use traditional farming methods to plant and harvest their crop. On our final stop, visit basket family. The big smile ladies are welcome all tourist visit their hand make products. You are more than happy to experience how they weave the basket from bamboo and learn about their micro-economy trade.
